Advent Resources

Harvest Family,

We are filled with anticipation as Christmas approaches! Advent is the season leading up to Christmas. It begins four Sundays before December 25 and gives us a chance to prepare our hearts to celebrate the first coming of Jesus Christ in a special way. “Advent” means—”coming.” We look back, remembering the first coming of Christ, and how God’s people were anticipating and longing for His coming, and we look forward, as God’s people today, anticipating and longing for His coming once again.

The practice of Advent can help us to be intentional, in the midst of the season’s hustle and bustle. It can help us to focus our hearts on Jesus amidst the myriad of seasonal traditions and to reorient our affections on the greatest gift of all - knowing Christ.

We hope the resources below aid and encourage you in the pursuit of a Christ-centered Christmas, a season full of the hope, peace, joy, love, and faith found in Jesus Christ alone. May our hearts continually reflect upon the miracle of Immanuel and worship the God who is with us!

Love & Blessings,

Kennon & Kathryn
