Starting Monday, June 2nd, we are excited to kick off our first ESL and soccer summer camp for refugee and other immigrant children aged 8-14.
This camp is a fantastic opportunity for kids new to America and Memphis to make friends, have fun, practice English, and play soccer with their neighbors! We would love for you to be a part of this endeavor, whether through volunteering as a coach or instructor, sending item donations, or helping sponsor the camp.
Each week at camp, participants will...
grow in their soccer and ESL skills through daily soccer and language lessons and activities.
develop their team-building skills.
create new friendships with their Memphis neighbors!
Daily Schedule:
9:45-10 AM: Campers arrive at Treadwell Park
10-11:30 AM: Soccer lesson and activities
11:30-12 PM: Lunch (provided)
12-12:30 PM: Go to The Avenue Community Church
12:30-2 PM: ESL lesson and activities
