Why Faith?

Why does putting our faith in God make sense? Because of who God is!

He is ALL-knowing. All-wise. Eternal. So He sees tomorrow as if it was yesterday, next week and next year as if they have already happened. He is NEVER surprised.

He is also aware and involved in the intricate, intimate details of our lives. All of it.

He is ALL-powerful. He brought the universe into existence by fiat (command). He calmed the storm and raised the dead with the spoken word. He never broke a sweat. There is nothing that He cannot do.

He is present. Period. Always and everywhere.

Well, so what?  

Can we trust Him to care about us? Can we trust Him to want, and do, what He will ultimately use for our good and His glory? ABSOLUTELY!

He loves us with a pure and total love. He loves us as we are! Not just when we get our act together. He will never love us any more when we do good or any less when we fail. Can anything interfere with His love? Nope! Nada! He is sovereign over every molecule in the universe and over every cell of every fiber in our being.

Finally, and best of all, He is holy, holy, holy.  To repeat something 3 times is the Hebrew way of saying something with about a thousand exclamation points. He is GOOD beyond words. LOVE beyond belief. Always right. To believe in, and have faith in, this TRUE GOD is the most reasonable and rational thing we can do.  

We can have complete confidence in Him.  

This confidence gives us PEACE. This peace leads us to a joyful, abundant life.
