Harvest Kids Ministry Volunteer Overview

**Harvest Kids Ministry does require church membership to serve**

Here’s a quick overview of how our teams work for Kindergarten through 5th grade:

*We offer Kindergarten through 5th grade at both 9:00 and 10:45 services.

*We have full-time teachers and once-a-month assistants.

*Full-time teachers have committed to serve every week and are responsible to teach the Bible lesson.

*Once-a-month assistants serve on a monthly rotation and assist with classroom oversight.

• Kindergarten & 1st Grade: 1–2 full-time teachers serve weekly with support from an additional 1-2 once-a-month assistants who serve on that monthly rotation.

• 2nd–5th Grade: 4–5 full-time teachers rotate weekly teaching responsibilities, ensuring consistency while allowing flexibility and intentionality.

We have created this “full-time” teaching model for 2nd-5th grade because we really value the consistency and investment it allows for the older elementary students to receive! Additionally with four to five full-time teachers per class, there is flexibility for volunteers to miss weeks here and there as needed and still have enough teachers in each classroom. If you are a full-time teacher, you will rotate teaching the lesson with the other full-time teachers in your class. The hope is that with this model we have created, each teacher is teaching once, occasionally twice a month! We use The Gospel Project Curriculum and will provide all the resources and materials you need to teach.

1 full-time teacher in 3rd grade
1 full-time teachers in 4th grade
1 full-time teacher in 5th grade
2 once-a-month assistant teachers in 1st grade

1 full-time teacher in 1st grade
1 full-time teachers in 3rd grade
1 full-time teachers in 5th grade
3 once-a-month assistant teachers in Kindergarten
2 once-a-month assistant teachers in 1st grade
