Student Ministry
Mission & Vision
Harvest Students is all about reaching and discipling teenagers. We do this by developing strong relationships, teaching them through intentional Bible Study and empowering them to serve and lead in their schools and community. Our goal is to intersect the Gospel with the lives of each and every teenager that walks through the door. Our student ministry seeks to partner with parents to reach and raise this generation for Christ through very specific teaching, coaching and guidance in God’s Word.
We work to see this mission accomplished through five main avenues:
Our main goal is to see all students in Sunday night D-groups. A great way to get in a d-group would be to participate in the following various programs and events we have. There are great opportunities to meet leaders and other students. We as a Student Ministry staff, will work to connect leaders and students to form d-groups.
During the 9:00 service on Sunday mornings, all of our students are encouraged to participate in Sunday School. Junior High and High School students are split on Sundays. During this time, students will engage in fellowship and hear teaching from God’s Word.
We host our youth group called “The Place” on Wednesday nights upstairs in Room 206 from 6:15-745. During this time, we will gather together for dinner, a game, and worship. We will then split Junior High and High School for teaching from God’s Word.
Another avenue that we do ministry is with purely fellowship nights throughout the semester. These events include a Tailgate, Bonfire, Friendsgiving, and a Christmas party.
Throughout the year, we have special events that support our mission as a student ministry. These events include our summer camps (Beach Advance for High School and Camp Grit for Jr. High), Student Weekender, Belize mission trip, along with Guys and Girls Ministry events.
