SONIA WATKINS
My Story
I grew up going to church with my family all my life in Memphis. In seventh grade chapel, the speaker made clear to me that without Jesus I was going to hell. This didn’t seem like a hard decision to make so I walked down the aisle, got baptized and set off wondering what I needed to do to be a good Christian. It wasn’t until living life on my own terms, in rebellion to God, that brought me to my need and desire to follow Jesus. For the first time I realized that it was nothing I could do (except be lost in my sin) but what Jesus has already done on the cross. Meeting Jesus changes everything. And I want others to meet Him. In my role as Women’s Ministry Director, I hope that sharing my story of redemption will encourage other women to pursue Jesus with everything they have.
My Hope For Harvest
My prayer for Harvest is that we will be a people that point others to the saving grace and life transformation of Jesus through our words and actions here and across the globe.
