My Story

I grew up in a family where we all regularly attended church and I knew many of the Sunday School answers. But for most of my life, I based my identity and self-worth on what other people thought of me. My main way to gain the approval and admiration I desired was through sports. It was not until my Sophomore year of college that God lovingly allowed my sports dreams to die. It was during the worst season of my life (on and off the field) that I finally experienced my need for grace. Amidst my brokenness and sin, the gospel became real. I rested in Jesus' performance for me and trusted in Him alone.

Since that time, God has put many incredible people in my life and guided my path faithfully one step at a time through various seasons. After trusting in Jesus at the end of my Sophomore year, God miraculously opened a door for me to go to school and play baseball at Baylor University. Upon graduating Baylor in 2010, I married Katy and we moved to Memphis to go through DownLine Ministries' Emerging Leaders program.

After completing DownLine, we spent four years in the DFW area attending Dallas Seminary. Since 2016, I have been a Sr. Pastor at two churches in Texas. God graciously called us to serve at Harvest in the Summer of 2024 after a season of seeking His will through prayer and fasting. Katy and I and our four kids, Deacon (born 2013), Lincoln (2016), Shepherd (2017), and Annie (2019) are thrilled to be here!

My Hope For Harvest

Our hope for Harvest is that God's will would continue to be prioritized and submitted to among this body, and that each member would be sensitive to God's corrective work in their lives, and live open-handedly as good stewards of all God has entrusted us!
