Our loving father mercifully revealed himself to me at a young age. If you know me at all, you know that my memory is not great, so I cannot tell you the date that the Lord saved me. However, I can tell you that I do not remember a day in my life that the Lord has not been present and gracious.
I grew up in church and in youth group, but realized in high school that I had some incorrect views and my faith was not very deep. I met some friends and an amazing teacher who the Lord used to show me what a true relationship with Jesus looks like. HIS love for me was so much more powerful, forgiving and steadfast than I had ever recognized and he had plans for me! (Jeremiah 29:11)
My family moved to Memphis when I was three and I have spent the majority of my life here. I married my high school sweetheart, Joe, a few weeks after I graduated from University of Memphis. Since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a wife and a mom and now that I was married and had a degree in Preschool Administration, we were ready for kiddos! I went on to work in preschool, volunteer in children’s ministry, and we began our family. God blessed us with Jake, Savanah and Sadie. I was able to stay home with our little blessings until they all started elementary school and I am blessed by my family every day!
At this stage in life, I can say with conviction that my JOY comes from the Lord and Him alone. My life has had it’s challenges and some days have been really tough. However, God has been faithful to show me His steadfast love everyday. I can see how the circumstances we encounter, shape us into the people He wants us to be. (James 1:2)
Our family came to Harvest in February of 2014. The first time we visited, we felt God’s presence in a new and exciting way…this was where He wanted us to be. For years, my husband and I had been praying for God to give me an opportunity to work in Children’s Ministry and our prayers were answered when I was invited to join the Harvest Staff in June of 2015. It has been one of my greatest joys to serve at Harvest, and I am full of anticipation to see what God has in store for the future.
My Hope For Harvest
My hope for Harvest Church is that our body would be so completely filled with God’s Holy Spirit that we live our lives in a way that people are drawn to our Lord. That we would continue to grow as a body of believers who are passionate about pursuing Christ and seeing the gospel proclaimed in our communities as well as globally by loving and serving others well.
