I gave my life to the lord as a 7year old at vacation bible school. It was at Community Bible Chapel in Atlanta, Ga during the summer of 1991. I prayed for forgiveness out of fear of going to hell for some mischievous things I’d done. Although, I was socialized in a christian home true lordship didn’t come until later.
I rededicated my life to Christ in college and moved to Memphis after graduation. I’ve been living here in Memphis serving with the Memphis Athletic Ministries, Streets Ministries, the 901 Block Squad, Harvest Church, Eikon Ministries and many other outreach programs.
I grow in my relationship with Christ through prayer, meditation, discipleship, reading the word, worship and service. I enjoy learning from other preachers and their podcasts, sermon archives, conferences and devotionals.
I’m also learning more about God through the sanctifying institution of marriage. I’ve been married five years to Whitney Trotter. We share one bundle of joy named McKinley Justice Trotter. McKinley is about a year and a half and is nicknamed Mj. The lord also teaches me tons about himself through our Father-daughter relationship as well.
I’m on staff part time with Harvest Church as a resident in creative arts. I love to write poetry and songs for God’s glory. I believe when the lord has given you a gift you feel His presence and pleasure when honing that craft. Working with the team at Harvest is helping me to grow creatively and spiritually as well.
My Hope For Harvest
My hope for Harvest Church is that we will be found faithful upon the Lords return. May we be a people dedicated to obeying the fullness of the text in word and deed.
