My Story

I was born and in Dallas, Texas but raised in Lancaster my entire life. I grew up in a single-parent home, and am the youngest of three. I grew up attending a Baptist denominational church. I lived a double life of being a “good church boy” who memorized Bible verses on Sundays and a totally different person Monday through Saturday. I was enslaved to other people’s approval of me, and track & field was the vehicle that got me popularity in school. After graduating High School I attended the University of North Texas, and my life spun out of control. I lived the typical college life, and through a series of events I became aware of the reality that I deserve judgment for my sin by being reminded of 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. When God made me aware of my sinfulness, He also made aware of His love through the substitutionary atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. In December of 2010 God called me out of darkness into His marvelous light, and I fell in love with Jesus Christ.

God used three men in my life to help me grow in love for God’s Word, a love for people and a passion to see people reached with the Gospel. The first is my best friend W.C. Garrett Jr., my disciple leader Jason Seville, and Tony Dentman.

I entered into fulltime ministry through working as a Youth Coordinator for Memphis Athletic Ministries, where I worked for almost three years. I had the privilege of coaching a basketball team of High School students and getting to lead Bible Studies with the guys I coached.

I am joyfully married to my beautiful wife Stephanie, who works at Memphis Athletic Ministries. We love to watch movies and dance to all genres of music.

My Hope For Harvest

My hope for Harvest Church is that we would delight in God and joyfully seek to advance the kingdom through evangelism and discipleship from our city to the end of the earth.
