Women’s One Day Retreat

THIS IS YOUR STORY: Learning from Ezra and Nehemiah

God’s Word tells us our story—the true story of human history, with Jesus Christ shining from every page. Ezra and Nehemiah come at a crucial point in the story, right at the end of Old Testament history. These leaders of God’s people help us look back on God’s faithful promises, and they point ahead to the fulfillment of those promises in God’s Son who came to save.

After each teaching session by Kathleen Nielson, there will be opportunity to visit an “Applied Theology” breakout session designed help equip you with the “why” and “how” to live out the Gospel in your daily and within your spheres of influence. The available “Applied Theology” breakout session topics are:

  • Why Women are Needed in the Church

  • Discipleship – Going Beyond Small Talk

  • Contending for Biblical Womanhood in Modern Times

This conference is open to all women at Harvest Church, including our high school girls!  The conference registration fee is $20.

After the conference, Harvest Women's Ministry will host a panel discussion to provide an opportunity for women to listen to women in various ages and stages of life discuss how they live out their faith grounded in the word of God. An optional boxed lunch is available to order for an additional fee.

No child care will be provided at this event.

Join us on Saturday, April 13 from 9:00am-12:30pm at Harvest Church from as Kathleen Nielson, bible teacher, author, and former Director of Women’s Initiatives at The Gospel Coalition, leads us through a careful reading of these God-breathed narratives, finding encouragement to study God’s Word well, live out its message, and share its life-changing truth with those around us.

Women’s Bible Study 2024

Ladies, join us this semester as we study the Israelites in the book of Exodus. This is a rich historical narrative that tells of God’s faithfulness to His people and whispers of Christ as our hope and salvation.  What great reminders for us today! We meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm-8:30pm and Wednesday mornings from 9:30am-11:30am (chilcare is available for Wednesday only). We gather for a time of worship and teaching during the first hour and break off into our small groups for discussion and prayer the second hour. We would love to see you there!

The exodus of the Israelites shapes our understanding of the whole Bible, its themes reverberating all the way to Revelation.  Exodus is the birth narrative of a nation unmistakably guided by the great Deliver.  In this study of Exodus 1-18, Jen Wilkin shows us that Israel’s story is our story:the same God who delivered Israel also delivers all those He loves from slavery to sin and from service to the pharaohs of this world.  He lifts our eyes to the promised land He has prepared where we dwell with I AM and worship Him as the one true God. — excerpt from Jen Wilkin’s workbook
